Here's what Chennai thinks about Instagram's new Q and A feature

It’s like a transparent version of Sarahah and enables followers to ask an individual pretty much anything they wish to. The responder can choose what they want to reply to and post it on their story feed. 

While some feel this trend is an interesting way of reaching out to others, it seems to be testing the patience of many. We would all love to know more about our favourite celebrities, but there are smarter questions to ask than, ‘Are you single and ready to mingle?’ don’t you think?

In all honesty, I wish the one thing people hadn’t asked me about was details about my personal life. I don’t wish to divulge exactly what they asked me, but I request them not to ask me such questions any more.

I find the feature to be pretty fun; I don’t mind replying but I think this should be only a temporary option since the questions tend to become boring. The one thing most of them want to know is what my next film is, to which I have no response at the moment.

A lot of people asked me for recipes and diets but the one thing I wish they had asked instead, was about reusing leftovers efficiently. At the moment, people are just asking questions for the heck of it.

While I’ve been receiving a barrage of questions, I’d like to ask my fellow heroes and scriptwriters what their opinion is on misogyny. I don’t know if I’ll get an honest reply though.

Just like the majority who are trying out this trend, I thought I’ll give it a shot too. I enjoyed using Sarahah; similarly, I don’t mind answering questions. I may find it irritating if I decide to read other’s stories though, because I can see most of the replies are fake or deviating away from the point. I preferred Sarahah for this reason because through anonymity, people could ask the truth and hit the right spots where it mattered.
