“This can be partially achieved through focus on advancement of skills that are relevant to the emerging economic environment. The challenge pertains not only to a huge quantitative expansion in skill training for the youth, but also to the much more important task of raising their quality,” he added.
He said that with a goal to create opportunities, space and scope for the development of the talents of the Tamil Nadu youth and to enhance their technical expertise, ICT Academy focuses on youth skill development as one of its pillars.
Initially about 60 colleges in various colleges especially in rural areas will be participating in skill development programme where interested students from Arts and Science will enrolled to study the course through online. Stating that the courses are developed with inputs and guidance on the content from the ndustry, making it an industry driven content, the official said.
