    HITS ties up with IBM for state-of-art B Tech programmes

    Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) has collaborated with IBM to offer a set of state-of-the-art BTech computer science and engineering programmes.

    The courses to be offered include BTech CSE with specialization in cloud computing and virtualization and BTech CSE with specialization in cyber forensics and cyber security. 

    IBM has collaborated with HITS to redesign their BTech Computer Science and engineering curriculum, and introduced specialized IBM courses spread over all the 8 semesters. 

    The role of IBM in these collaborated programmes is to help design curriculum, put up courseware for specialized IBM courses, Train-The-Teacher workshops, Webinars, project work, mentorships, Red Books, guest lectures, and developing the ecosystem with IBM and their partner companies. 

    Accordingly, the course contains the state-of-the-art curriculum and will be maintained concurrently by IT industry specialists. As the syllabus is well-aligned with IT industry trends and requirement, after the successful completion of the course the students become readily employable. 

    Partnering with IBM results in better student admission, deep skill development. 

    Universities gain from social media momentum due to the positive feedback from the students as well. With the growing number of companies offering customers their software, application, hardware, storage, and services over the new cloud computing model, the requirement of skilled resources will continue to grow in size and complexity. 

    A career in cloud computing, therefore, will remain in great demand for several years, going forward. This is an emerging computing model which delivers IT related capabilities as a service, over the internet, and one which promises much better ease of use, economies of scale and much greater flexibility in sourcing and adapting to change.
