Justice N. Sathishkumar before whom the petition came up, on offering directions to the prosecutor adjourned the case to June 04.
The prosecution had contended that Seeman and others on April 10 went to the IPL cricket match and raised slogans seeking to form Cauvery Management Board as per Supreme Court order.
In the melee, a quarrel arose between the agitators and the Police when Seeman and others intervened and assaulted the Police. Hence a case was registered for the alleged offences under various sections of IPC.
Stating that he is innocent and being the Organizer of the Party he was present along with others, he submitted that the Police have foisted a false case on him and implicated him. He said that he is ready to furnish sureties and abide by the conditions imposed by the Court.
