Man caught abusing minor girls, thrashed
A 33-year-old private bank employee was thrashed by the public for sexually abusing two minor girls and handed over to police, near Mudichur on Sunday.

The accused identified as Xavier (33), a resident of Madurai was working in a private bank in Guindy.
He was living in a rented house in Selaiyur near Tambaram. On Sunday morning, he parked his two-wheeler at his friend house and went to Villupuram by bus. He returned around 6 pm, took his bike and was returning home. When he was near Patel Nagar in Mudichur, he saw two kids, aged eight and 10, playing on the road.
Xavier stopped the bike and spoke with them for a while. Later, he took them to an isolated place nearby and sexually abused them. When he removed their clothes, both girls started shouting after which neighbours rushed to the spot and rescued the kids. The public trashed him before handing him over to Tambaram police station.
Tambaram police arrested him under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
