Justice S Ramathilagam, before whom two criminal original petitions came up, directed the Public Prosecutor to get instructions on the petitions from the DGP.

The petitioner KM Krishnan, claiming to be a social activist, had contended that the said trust is running medical and engineering colleges by not furnishing the approved building plan. Both the medical and engineering colleges are functioning in the same campus with the Trust filing fake and fabricated planning permissions before the Medical Council of India (MCI) and AICTE, the statutory bodies for getting permission to run the colleges.

He further submitted that on a complaint made by G Vijayalakshmi (Deputy Planner) CMDA, the CCB on May 08, 2015, registered a FIR for submitting fake and fabricated documents to the MCI as if the building plan was issued by the CMDA.

Stating that the investigation of the above case does not require much time as everything is based on records, the petitioner submitted that the two criminal complaints were filed against the founder trustee AN Radhakrishnan and Managing Trustee R Gomathi way back in 2015. But the state police have failed to investigate the complaints and have been dragging the same for years, the petitioner said and sought the court for a direction to transfer the case to the CBI.
