Aminjikarai murder: 4 special teams formed
A day after 33-year-old painter was hacked to death in full public view in Aminjikarai, police have formed four special teams to nab the gang, including main accused, who has been identified as Karthik.

“Two teams have gone to Ayanavaram, Tiruverkadu while two other teams are searching the murderers within the city,” said a source. Police said a gang of five on two bikes followed Dileepkumar, a resident of NSK Nagar, and hacked him multiple times with machetes before escaping from the spot, on Tuesday.
Shocked passers-by rushed him to Kilpauk Medical College (KMC) Hospital, but he was declared brought dead.
After preliminary investigation, police said that the suspect Karthik, also from NSK Nagar is already involved in a murder case. Karthik is said to have masterminded the murder and police sources said that he will be nabbed soon.
