Special buses to tourist spots near city

The Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) on Saturday said that 100 special buses would ply to the main tourist spots and famous temples in the city and suburbs from April 29 to June 30, to accommodate the increase in passengers during the summer.

“These buses will be operated every Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Frequency of buses to Anna Square, Kovalam, Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Vandalur, Mamallapuram, Periyapalayam Arulmigu Bhavani Amman temple, Tiruverkadu Sridevi Karumari Amman temple and Siruvapuri Murugan temple have been increased,” the statement said. 

A total of 50 buses will ply to Anna Square, while additional 20 will go to zoological park, it added. Similarly, 10 special buses would be going to Tiruverkadu Sridevi Karumari Amman temple, the release said.
