Auto driver held for impregnating Class 6 girl

The accused Paramasivam (48), who is married and have two college-going children, repeatedly raped the minor girl since December last year, but threatened her against telling this to anyone. The girl is studying Class 7 in a nearby school. 

Police said that the girl’s mother, a widow, became involved in a relationship with the accused after getting close to him at her make-shift snacks shop next to the auto stand from where he operated. When the woman fell ill, she had asked him to take care of her daughter. But he abused the girl first in December, police said.

The girl missed her periods for the last few months, and complained to her mother of stomach pain. When she took her to a hospital for a check-up, they came to know that the minor was four months pregnant. The girl disclosed the abuse and they approached the police.
