It was their son-in-law, who reached home around 6 am after the night shift, who spotted his kid lying in a pool of blood near Mubarak Begum, who was dead by then. After information, MKB Nagar police rushed to the spot and sent the woman’s body for autopsy. Police traced Abdul Jaffer to his relative’s house at Erukkancheri and remanded him in judicial custody.
