Skill development centre honours 120 graduates
Amara Raja Skill Development Centre on Sunday conferred diplomas in “multi-skilled technician” to 120 students during the convocation ceremony of its fifth batch at Amara Raja Auditorium, Karakambadi, Tirupati.

The batch comprising students from rural areas received the certificates at a ceremony, held in presence of the Amara Raja Group Founder and Chairman Dr Ramachandra N Galla. Parents of the graduating students were also present at the event.
During the convocation, Galla said, “I am confident that the graduating students will make this institution and their parents proud. This course will not only help them in their career growth, but will also make them confident individuals.”
He added, “I would like to congratulate all the graduating students and the faculty at ARSDC. The 18-month skill development course at ARSDC aims to help youngsters acquire and enrich their technical and life skills. It will also add value to their role in the society and help them earn their livelihood through various employment opportunities.”
B. Santhanam, President and managing director of Flat Glass – South Asia, Malaysia and Egypt, Saint-Gobain India Pvt. Ltd, was the chief guest at the ceremony. “These skill development programmes, have been inspiring budding talents in local communities. Our country has some extraordinary talent which must be nurtured and provided with the best possible opportunities to excel in the competitive society,” said Santhanam.
He also lauded the efforts of the faculty and staff towards enhancing employability of the rural youth.
