Accompanied by his fans, the actor reached the office around 9 am. “He has just undergone a surgery and still participated in the protest. While others who were detained along with Mansoor Ali Khan were released, I want to know why he was arrested and hence came to Commissioner’s office to seek clarification,” said the actor.
After meeting the officials, Silambarasan said the officials explained the circumstances under which Mansoor Ali Khan was arrested and added that he was satisfied with the response of officials. “He would most probably be out on bail on Wednesday along with others, and if there is any delay, further action will be decided,” he said.
Speaking to media, the actor condemned the violence against police personnel. Meanwhile, Vepery police arrested 16 of his fans for gathering without permission under Section 151 of the IPC. They were released later in the evening.
