Woman commits suicide in Triplicane

The deceased, A Chitra, had been complaining of stomach pain ever since she underwent a surgery seven years ago to reverse surgical sterilisation, police said, quoting her husband Arumugam. 

On Thursday, she reportedly told him that pain had aggravated, but he did not take it seriously. When he returned home in the afternoon, he found Chitra hanging. The body was removed and sent to Stanley Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination. Ice House police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
