BDS students demand for bus service
More than 100 students from the Government Dental College and Hospital, Chennai staged a road roko in the city on Wednesday demanding bus service for hostel students.

Stating that they have been demanding the same from the college for over an year and a half now, Dr S Monish, an intern (practicing doctor) said, “In December last year, we were promised a bus by early January. However, we have not seen any progress.
Every day, students walk three to five kilometres to attend classes as most of our classes.” Police detained the protestors till 6 pm. “We are continuing the protest in our college campus,” students said. A health official said, “A proposal has already forwarded and the students will soon get a bus.”
