Cops release CCTV footage of robbers

The incident took place on February 20 when the victim Nayan Mal was carrying cash from Diamond Shopping Mall in Elephant Gate to his owner Deepak’s office in Flower Bazaar. 

As he was walking and talking over the phone, a six-member gang which followed him, snatched the bag containing cash from him in no time at a crowded turn. 

It was quickly shifted to different hands before one of them stuffed it in another bigger bag and walk off as if nothing happened. 

The footage shows Nayan Lal wandering clueless and confused as to who snatched his bag. 

It is said that Flower Bazaar police who have been investigating the incident, initially did not believe Nayan Lal’s statement and continued with their interrogation. 

But they recently decided to check the CCTV footage in the locality and found out that six members have been behind the day-light robbery. Since their faces have clearly registered in the footage, police have been trying to establish their identity with the help of previous records.
