Principal’s chain snatched on school premises
An unidentified man, who barged into the Kundrathur Panchayat Union Primary School in Mapedu, snatched a 10 sovereigns chain from the headmistress on Monday evening.

Sujatha (44) of Manavala Nagar in Tiruvallur was working on a file inside the room, when the man, claiming to be from district education office entered her room and snatched her chain. She fell on the floor and cried for help as she tried to hold on to the chain.
Hearing her screams, an office assistant and other school staff rushed to her rescue. But by then, the man ran out and escaped on his bike. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
