Techie assault: 3 held, mobile, laptop recovered
The police made a breakthrough in the techie attack and robbery that occurred in the wee of last Tuesday near Old Mahabalipuram Road, with the arrest of three persons and recovery of some of the stolen materials from them.

The police said that N Vinayagamoorthy (20), P Narayanamoorthy (19) and L Logesh (19) of Semmencherry were secured from an under-construction building in Navalur.Â
The cops recovered the laptop and mobile phones belonging to Lavanya Janath, and also a machete that was reportedly used in the attack. However, her gold bracelet and chain are yet to be traced.Â
After Lavanya was mugged and attacked that left her with severe injuries on the forehead, seven special teams were formed to nab the accused. Her two-wheeler was traced to a Tasmac shop in Sholinganallur on Wednesday.Â
Special teams combed the outskirts, including Chengalpattu, Redhills and Thirukazhukundram, and a few had been picked up on suspicion. All three were remanded in judicial custody.
