“Genuine litigants are disillusioned, anguished and disheartened by the prevailing situation due to our inability to seek justice on issues affecting the voiceless sections such as manual scavengers, orphaned and abused children, violation of Right to Education Act, and even corruption in higher education and delay in V-C appointments,” said Change India director A Narayanan.

Charging the opposition parties in Tamil Nadu of being unable to connect with the people and mobilise public opinion against the omissions and commissions of the ruling faction, Narayanan said, “Instead they keep filing writ petitions on a regular basis in the HC. Thus, the voiceless, powerless and weaker sections of society, who should have got priority, remain in the margins in the hall of justice, too.”
