US Dollars valued at around Rs eight lakh were seized today by customs officials from two Colombo-bound air passengers, who allegedly hid the currency in their belts.
Customs officials said that their personnel, acting on a tip off, checked the passengers at the airport here and found them carrying the currency in their belts.
The two have been detained for enquiry, they added.
