Bengaluru pawnbroker held in Kolathur jewellery heist case
Investigating the Kolathur jewellery heist case, the special team of the city police on Saturday picked up a pawnshop owner from Chickpet in Bengaluru, where the main accused Nathuram allegedly pledged 1 kg gold and silver articles.

“In other states, it is difficult to investigate the suspects as other traders would resist it. So we had to bring the pawn broker to Chennai,” said a senior police officer.
He added that Nathuram had committed similar crimes in Gujarat, and has several cases pending against him. Earlier, the team had taken him to NSC Bose road in city, from where more than 1 kg jewels was retrieved and three pawnbrokers were picked up.
