After escape of undertrial, two SSIs suspended
Two Special Sub-Inspectors (SSI) attached to Mangadu police station have been suspended after an undertrial escaped from the station.

Police said a departmental inquiry will also be initiated against Dhakshinamoorthy and Ravichandran, said sources. The incident took place at 4 pm on Wednesday and the absconding accused has been identified as S Sridhar (31), who has many house-breaking and vehicle theft cases pending against him.Â
A search has been launched for him.
