He secured the first rank in India and the third rank worldwide. ACCA is a global professional accounting body offering the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification. He scored 83% in the Corporate Reporting paper.

“I was never the best student in school. I was decent with numbers. In fact, I studied in a lesser known school where my batch was the first to pass out class 12. However, I wanted to make my parents proud and prove my mettle not just in India but internationally,” said Puneet, a resident of Choolai.

He studies at School of Excellence, run by Sri Sankara Coaching Centre. “I started preparing for this exam only a few months ago after my mentor insisted that I take the challenge as it would give me international recognition, especially in countries like Singapore and London. I have to finish three more papers to become a global chartered accountant,” he said, adding, that his parents are just school passouts.

Puneet has already charted out his future. “I want to open an international consultancy firm but before that, I want to gain experience in the industry. I wish to work in top companies to get the necessary knowledge.
