Jens Varghese, a resident of Vadayattu in Kerala was in the airport to board a flight to Kochi and showed an e-ticket at the counter for getting the boarding pass.

When the counter staff asked for an identification proof, he provided his friend Prince Kuruvila’s ID card. On seeing the difference on the image in the ID card and man standing in front of him, the officials questioned him. While Varghese argued that it was an old photograph of him, the officials found his original pan card in his wallet, forcing him to accept the impersonation.

He claimed that he had to go home urgently due to which he used the ticket of his friend, which was booked already. Varghese was later handed over to the airport police station.
