Finnish woman found dead in Triplicane hotel

Her companion Aleksi Joel Santeri, 26, another Finnish national has been detained by the police.

Police suspect that drug overdose could have led to the death of the woman. 

"We are questioning the male companion who tried to escape on Wednesday morning after staff force opened the door" police said adding that Aleksi is being questioned to know the reason behind the death of the woman. 

Both had come from Delhi on Tuesday morning and were staying in room number 207 of hotel Himalaya in Triplicane. 

After checking in, they went out and returned to the room by evening, police said. 

After that the two never came out till Wednesday morning.
