Man found dead on train with throat slit
A 36-year-oldman was found dead with his throat slit on Mumbai Mail train at Chennai Central.

The deceased has been identified as Harikrishnan of MKB Nagar and police are gathering other details about him.
The Mumbai Mail which reached Chennai around 4 am was later taken to Basin Bridge yard for the cleaning process.
The employee who opened the toilet in the general compartment was shocked to see a man lying in a pool of blood. Immediately, CRPF police were informed, who alerted the Central Railway police and the railway authorities.
A team rushed to spot and confirmed that he was murdered as his throat had been slit with a sharp weapon.
Later, the coach alone was brought back to Platform 1 at the Central station and forensic experts collected evidence from the coach. The man was naked, and his trousers were found inside the toilet.
A travel ticket from Mumbai to Chennai was found in the trousers, it couldn’t be confirmed it was his ticket. His body was sent to RGGGH for post-mortem. Since there were only some dampened papers in his pocket, establishing his identity was not that easy.
CCTV footage on platforms is being combed for clues about the murder.
