Reviving his claims for Jaya’s legacy, Dinakaran observed that the people of the constituency had given hope for the rest of the state, and started the process for a regime change.
“The ruling dispensation is already rattled by my victory as they know how it will impact their functioning, and head for a regime change,” he said.
On the development front, Dinakaran said, “In April when I contested, I promised as many as 57,000 houses for homeless, and I will take steps to fulfil it.” His list also featured provision of potable water throughout the year and issue of land titles for settlements in the constituency.
Regarding water contamination, Dinakaran had also written to Metro Water and sought their intervention in providing potable water to wards 42 and 43.
“My visit has also put an end to the smear campaign launched by the ruling party of having issued Rs 20 notes as tokens for vote. They claimed I have been staying out of bounds from the constituency. Here I am meeting you”, he said.
Dedicating his victory to the people of RK Nagar and the rest of the state, Dinakaran observed that he had the people’s mandate, which attested their claims as original heirs to Jaya, to the party and its symbol.
