Nathuram, wife reportedly arrested in Rajasthan
Even as there is a possibility of Kolathur inspector Munisekhar being booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder after the Rajasthan police pointed fingers at him citing the forensic report, main suspect Nathuram, wanted in connection with the Kolathur heist, and his wife Manju were reportedly secured in Jodhpur on Sunday.
Chennai
Sources said that Manju, who along with Nathuram and others, had attacked Chennai police team when it went to Rampurkalan village in Pali district with wooden logs and clubs, has been arrested by the Rajasthan police. Police had already arrested Tejaram, the owner of the brickkiln, his wife and daughter for attacking the police team.
After Periyapandian, Maduravoyil inspector, who was part of the team, died after being shot, Munisekhar in his complaint stated that his gun fell off his hand after he was hit by three women and others including Nathuram.
“Immediately my colleague Periyapandian took my pistol and started running. While the other team members rushed to the spot Periyapandian was caught inside by the suspects,” Munisekhar said in his complaint on Wednesday as per the FIR registered by the Pali police.
“On hearing the gun shot, we entered the site again and rescued Periyapandian and took him to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival,” Munisekhar had stated in his complaint.
Rajasthan police had registered an FIR under six sections including for murder.
Now with forensic and ballistic reports pointing fingers at Munisekhar, the Pali police may alter the FIR to include his name.
