Kanchi bomb case: 11 held

Kancheepuram policeon Thursday arrested 11 persons including four women in connection with a bomb attack at the house of former Perumattanallur Panchayat Chief, K S Ravi of DMK, on December 4 near Guduvancherry.
Police said that the three country made bombs were hurled at Ravi’s house, while another bomb was thrown at the house of his brother Kumar.
Ravi was not at home when the miscreants attacked. Kumar had suffered minor injuries during the attack.
During the probe, it was revealed that a gang from Mannivakkam had been threatening Ravi asking him Rs 5 lakh. After preliminary enquiry, the police arrested Sudhakar, 34, of Mannivakkam, Vinod (34), Vimal (25) and four others from Kavankarai in connection with the case.
Police after zeroed in on a house in Nedunkundram, where the bombs used for attack on Ravi was made. Four women from the house were arrested.
Police are now on the lookout for three others who had made the explosives.
