Girl scolded by mother ends life

In yet another incident of juvenile committing suicide, a 16-year-old girl hanged self at her house in Nerkundram on Saturday night. The deceased as Jennifer was a Class 12 student of a private school in Kodambakkam. Police said that Jennifer’s mother yelled at her for not focusing on her studies and dejected over this, she locked herself in the room and hanged self. Koyambedu police said that Jennifer’s parents separated seven years ago and she lived with mother and other siblings.
