Vishal to visit MGR house, Jaya memorial before nomination

Vishal is being viewed as the one leading the Kollywood in taking a political plunge much ahead of his senior colleagues – Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.

The other two had not given any concrete dates yet for the political sojourn, while they had already made their aspirations public.

A day after deciding to take the electoral plunge and contest as an independent candidate, actor Vishal on Sunday said he was not worried about success or failure as he was guided by his inner voice.

“I am not worried about success or failure (in the bypoll),” he said, on testing his electoral fortunes for the first time. “I consider this as an opportunity to serve the people. My inner voice guided me to contest.” Vishal said ‘’it is not a sudden decision (to contest the by-poll).’’

“I have been watching the plight of the RK Nagar residents for the past 12 months. Several promises were made to improve their civic conditions. But nothing has been implemented. I always wanted to do something

for the people and was planning this for a long time. The prevailing situation has pushed me into taking this decision to contest the election,” he said.

He pointed out that RK Nagar was familiar to him since he worked there during the floods in 2015 and 2016. “Our team went to every nook and corner of the locality and reached out to people in distress,” Vishal said.
