Woman killed as car topples on NH 45

The woman, who was at the wheel has been identified as Sameen (51) of Lavanya Garden in Porur. The injured include her husband Anwar (55) and two other relatives. Police said that the victims were returning to Chennai from Tiruchy, when Sameen, instead of stepping on the brake as they approached a tollgate, pressed the accelerator, making the car crash on the other side of the road. Onlookers rushed them to Melmaruvathur GH and Sameen was declared brought dead. 

The others are undergoing treatment and are out of danger. Due to the accident, traffic was affected on the highway for an hour. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
