Newly-wed woman ends life
A newly-wed woman committed suicide by hanging in her house at Rajiv Gandhi Nagar in Alapakkam. The woman identified as Sivaranjani (22) took the extreme step when her husband Saminathan, a carpenter had gone out. On information, Maduravoyal police sent the body for post mortem and are investigating.

In another incident, a 54-year-old load man at Koyambedu market complex died after a sack of vegetables fell on him, while he was involved in unloading of a lorry in the wee hours of Thursday. The deceased, Kamaraj of Ariyalur, was working in the complex for about 20 years. CMBT police have recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.Â
Similarly, 27-year-old Narayanasamy of Karambakkam committed suicide by hanging Wednesday night. Police said that Narayanasamy was dejected that he did not get a proper job.
