35 city wards declared free of open defecation

For this, declaration of school students, teachers, staff, selfhelp groups, resident welfare associations and private apartments in these wards have submitted a declaration that they do not defecate in open places. 

Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Corporation has announced that 46 wards were ODF on March 14, 15 wards on June 21, 54 wards on August 16 and 50 wards on October 25. Totally, 165 wards have been announced as ODF. 

On Tuesday, additional 35 wards have been announced as ODF. Following this, the civic body is awaiting the comments or suggestions to this announcement.
