They put up posters saying ‘Srini Weds Mahi’ on the hired vehicles to create an impression that all the cars were carrying guests for a marriage ceremony. “This is certainly the biggest operation we have carried out so far.
Over 1,800 officials are involved,”another official said. Sources said over 190 places belonging to 10 shell companies of which three belonged to Sasikala & Co were raided.
The teams covered 80 places belonging to Sasikala’s family on Thursday. Other shell companies belonged to the Surana group, Puducherry, Srilakshmi and the ‘Wind’ Subramanian.
Around 215 properties and 355 people are under the scanner. In T-Nagar, 80 premises belonging to shell companies were raided. “Bank lockers belonging to many firms will be opened on Friday,” an I-T source said.
