Over 50 per cent hike in PPOs at IIT-M
The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) on Tuesday said it has recorded a 56 per cent increase in the Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) in this academic year (2017-18).

As many as 114 PPOs were received as of Monday by IIT-M students, as against 73 last year.Â
Speaking on the increase in PPOs this year, Manu Santhanam, Advisor, Training and Placement, IIT-M, said, “One of the principal reasons is an increase in the number of internships in companies that are large recruiters, such as Microsoft, Qualcomm and Goldman Sachs."
