Dealers who spoke to DT Next confirm that customers have been informed that dealers are unclear about the delivery date of the product even as pre-booking for iPhone X commenced on October 23. A top dealer in the CBD said, “We usually receive 300 plus pre-bookings for iPhones ever since the brand made its debut in the market. But, this time around, we have not been able to match that number as we could not confirm the delivery date to our customers, who pre-ordered with us.” Interestingly, the premium pricing has barely deterred customers. A majority of those who pre-booked have opted for the 256-GB version priced at Rs 1.02 lakh as compared to the 64-GB version priced at Rs 89,000.
