More Metro stations to offer free bicycle

CMRL has partnered with a bi-cycle club to extend the service to Nehru Park, Shenoy Nagar and Vadapalani stations. Athi’s Bicycle Club would offer 100 hours free bi-cycle usage per month at the three stations, a statement from CMRL said, advising users to hire a bicycle at the stations by sending a SMS rake-code<space>bicycle-ID to 9645511155.

Bicycle facility is already provided at Ekkattuthangal, Nehru Park, Thirumangalam and Anna Nagar Tower metro stations. 

CMRL introduced the free bicycle program to promote eco-friendly transport for movement of passengers in vicinity of metro station as last mile connectivity which not only reduces the usage of private transport and is also economical for the users.
