Two special teams which launched a search for Mohammed Sadhu after recovering CCTV footage from the street showed a youngster carrying the kid in a bi-cycle. He had rescued him from the house of the abductor a few streets away.
Incidentally, the abductor too is a juvenile. So, police preferred not to reveal his identity.
“The accused had detained the child in his house with his parents’ knowledge. But, we are yet to figure out the motive behind it,” said police. Further investigations are on with the juvenile to find out the actual reason for abducting the child.
Mohammed Sadhu went missing from his house around 1.30 pm when his mother Barkat Nisha was inside the house along with her father and sister. Based on the complaint by the Sadhu’s father Iliyas, police registered the case and rescued the child within 48 hours. Investigations are on.
