Three injured in group clashes in Nungambakkam

While one of the victims, Charles (22) of Kakkan Colony has been admitted to the hospital, police have arrested one of the five accused, Parthiban (27) of Pushpa Nagar.

When Charles was walking back home with his friends Vijay Karthik (21) of Kamarajarpuram and Manimaran (23) of Choolaimedu, they were attacked by a five-member gang on Kodambakkam High Road around 10 pm. While Charles suffered serious injuries in the incident, the other two escaped minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the Nungambakkam police who questioned Parthiban, have launched a hunt for other four suspects — Ganesan (35) of T Nagar, Vignesh (21) of Nungambakkam, Muthukumar (24) and Praveenkumar (24) of Avadi.
