Responding to queries from media persons, Dr Reddy said that they have all the documents pertaining to her treatment and that they did whatever they could to ensure that she was given the best treatment. “No one had influenced the treatment we provided,” he added.
Stating that Jayalalithaa was given world class treatment, he said she was recovering well, before she unfortunately suffered a massive cardiac arrest, resulting in her death. The entire team of doctors, who treated her, including foreign experts, gave her the best treatment. “But the infection she suffered was so severe, that she suffered a massive cardiac arrest and died,” Dr Reddy added.
Meanwhile, it was stated the new migraine clinics would be headed by team of highly experienced neurosurgeons and neurologists and they will treat all types of chronic headaches, migraines and dementia (memory loss) and psychological problems.
“According to the Migraine Research Foundation, it has been estimated that Migraine affects one billion people worldwide. The pain caused by migraines can be incapacitating and sometimes even debilitating. Several lifestyle behaviours are increasingly making headaches commonplace and many a time, they can severely impact productivity,” the chairman added.
