Car thief held, seven vehicles recovered

The police team, which had been tracking the movements of Sadham Hussein alias Vellai Sadham (25), a resident of Moongileri, Pammal, intercepted him near Ashok Nagar on Saturday night. 

When they picked him up Sadham Hussein was coming in one of the stolen vehicles. Police took him to the station for detailed interrogation. Sadham had stolen cars parked in K K Nagar, Ashok Nagar, Mylapore, Pulianthope and Otteri.

The police team then took the accused to the respective spots and recovered two Chevrolet Taveras, two Tata Indigos and three Tata Indicas stolen by the accused. 

Sadham Hussein was later produced before the magistrate court and was remanded to judicial custody.
