DMK MLA to cover his segment on foot

Walking should not be a problem for the DMK MLA, who has been a regular in all marathons in the city. Explaining that he has received over 100 complaints in a month regarding short supply of drinking water alone, Subramanian said that he thought it would be wise to reach out to the people directly instead of them visiting the MLA. 

Refusing to blame the officials, the former Chennai Mayor said that though the ministers were busy facing raids, officials were doing their bit. The MLA assured that he would study the complaints the same day and meet officials of respective departments the following day.  When asked about the response his complaints had elicited thus far, Subramanian claimed that they have been fighting since his election to get the government to construct retention walls on the banks of Adyar River. “After several months, they have now started the work,” he said.
