AIBEA, SSBEA oppose merger of banks with SBI
All India Bank Employees’ Association (AIBEA) and State Sector Bank Employees’ Association (SSBEA) has opposed the decision of Union Cabinet over granting approval for the merger of five Associate Banks with State Bank of India (SBI).

AIBEA General Secretary Ch.Venkatachalam and SSBEA General Secretary K S Krishna today said despite opposition from customers, banking and general public, shareholders, political parties, trade unions, trade and industry organization and SSBEA-AIBEA-AIBOA, the Central government is moving ahead with the merger. The central government is paying ‘scant respect’ to people’s views and needs and is going ahead with the mergers, they added.
