Tell us more about Halowings
It is an eight-kilometre marathon aimed at enlightening the society on the widely unspoken disorder of dyslexia. in association with Madras Dyslexia Association(MDA). This is the second edition of the marathon. We started last year and spread awareness about Down Syndrome in association with Down Syndrome Federation of India. Born out of meticulous planning, this annual marathon event aims to raise awareness and support unique disorders in the society.
Why did you plan to start a run for social cause?
The Naval wing of the National Cadet Corps, Anna University was started in the year 1964. Besides building comradeship, character and discipline, it inculcates the ideals of selfless service among the cadets. Over the past years we have been involved in welfare activities like blood donation, awareness rallies, tree implantation, Swachh Bharat and coastal cleaning. For our annual marathon we decided to raise awareness about unique disorders.
Where will it be held?
It will start from Anna University campus in Guindy on February 12 from 5.30 am.
