TNSTC directed to issue transfer staff hit by stroke
The Madurai bench of the Madras High Court had directed the TNSTC to issue transfer for employee affected with stroke on medical and humanitarian grounds. Petitioner, Kumaresan, from Batlanguntu in Dindigul district, claimed that he had joined as Office Assistant at TNSTC at Batlaguntu on 1.1.1995.

His family was in Batlaguntu and his father who was looking after the family too had passed away recently. Based on humanitarian grounds he had demanded a transfer but TNSTC had rejected his petition.Â
In 2015, he had suffered a stroke and became immobile. When he demanded transfer on medical grounds, it was again rejected and he filed a petition again. When the case was heard, TNSTC private council claimed that TNSTC would consider the transfer plea of Kumaresan.Â
Later Judges claimed that usually High Court would not interfere in the transfer procedures however taking the plight and the circumstance of the petitioner under consideration TNSTC is directed to issue transfer order on medical and humanitarian grounds within two weeks.
