DMK, BJP name in-charges

According to an official communication from the DMK, the district secretaries and the office bearers of various capacities from Thanjavur north and south, Tiruchy north and south, Tiruvarur, Pudukkottai north and south, Perambalur and Ariyalur would work for the Thanjavur candidate. 

Meanwhile, the secretaries and the officer bearers from Karur, Tiruvannamalai north and south, Dindigul west, Namakkal west and east, Salem west, east and centre, Erode north and south, Tiruppur north and south would work for Aravakurichi candidate. 

Meanwhile, the BJP keen on contesting the seats announced state general secretary R Karuppu Muruganandam as in-charge of Thanjavur segment and Tiruchy zonal joint coordinator Sivasamy as the in-charge for Aravakurichi. 

The party was expected to release the name of the candidates on Sunday. Meanwhile, the state president Tamilisai Soundarajan told the reporters, “On behalf of our party, we have appointed party authorities and selected the potential candidates’ and sent it to our party headquarters. Soon they will select the candidates. Our only concern is that the election should be conducted fairly.”
