HCP filed for missing college student
The Madras High Court has issued notice to the SP of St. Thomas Mount and the Inspector of Police Cheyyur Police Station, on an Habeas Corpus petition seeking to produce college student, who had allegedly been kidnapped.

The petitioner pointed out that the Cheyyur police had registered a case for her daughter’ abduction, after much pleading and that too a case of missing and not that of kidnap. He said the police in the guise of searching for the his daughter made him spend about Rs 15,000 towards footing their alcohol and food bill. Apprehending that her daughter might have been subjected to sexual assault by the said Arivazhagan the petitioner said “Now I suspect that my daughter is not alive. Every delay by the police will cost me dearly.”
