3 students among 4 held for chain snatching cases
Four youth, including 3 college students, were arrested in connection with chain snatching incidents in different part of Vellore district. Sources said, the quartet told the police that they followed the pattern showed in the Tamil film ‘Metro’ to lead a lavish life.

Following several complaints of chain snatching incidents from different areas, the Katpadi police launched a massive manhunt for the culprits.
Meanwhile, Andhra police arrested Vijay (20), Dhanush (19) and Praveen (20) of Virudhampattu and Jeyakumar (39) of Kangeyanallur in connection with a chain snatching incident in Chittoor. Later, they were handed over to the Vellore copsand inquiries revealed that the four were involved in chain snatching incidents here also. While three of them are college students, Jeyakumar was a tea master.
