DMK invites applications
DMK today invited applications from prospective candidates for the November 19 election to Thanjavur and Aravakurichi Assembly constituencies, besides the by-election to Tirupparankundram seat.

DMK General Secretary K Anbazhagan said the applicants can submit the filled application forms by October 20 at the party headquarters, Anna Arivalayam. They will be interviewed the next day, he said in a release here.
The Election Commission had yesterday announced in Delhi that polls to Thanjavur and Aravakurichi Assembly seats, which it had rescinded in May will now be held on November 19.
The Tirupparankundram by poll, necessitated by the death of sitting AIADMK MLA SM Seenivel, will also be held on the same day.
