‘Teachers to be appointed on seniority basis in test’

The Chief Minister said the Cabinet discussed measures to be taken to prevent flood before the onset of monsoon and also resolved to press the Supreme Court for the setting up of the Cauvery Management Board. He said that the Centre had decided to implement a Rs 2,400 crore scheme for drinking water and underground drainage in the union territory. The French government will provide a loan of Rs 1,400 crore to be repaid in 20 years and the balance Rs1000 crore would be provide by the Centre.
